Dabo be Shai is celebrated Country-wide by all Ethiopian people, regardless of their class/status and religion. Our logo “Dabo” is a simple bread which serves as a nutritional basis in the Ethiopian diet. As with most things in life, the simplest are the best. We hope to keep that true with the food we prepare for you here at LacoMelza. Dishes prepare to bring out the natural simple goodness, not overpowdered with spices. “Dabo be Shai” (bread soaked in hot tea) a typical breakfast for kids fortunate enough to have it. For many Habisha “Dabo Be Shai” is one of those simple but potent pleasures that transport our minds back home to our mother's kitchen. shhhh, guess what? I still have it soaked in my tea and use a spoon to feed myself as a kid would, call me a kid if you like but it is something I can’t give up to this day… Owner/Partner-Etsegenet
